Drink up one more time, and I’ll make you mine
Keep you apart, deep in my heart. (Elliot Smith)

A perfect partner, is one with whom you can honestly be yourself, because there is no point to wear a mask for fake impression.

I believe if there’s any kind of God it wouldn’t be in any of us, not you or me but just this little space in between. If there’s any kind of magic in this world it must be in the attempt of understanding someone sharing something. I know, it’s almost impossible to succeed but who cares really? The answer must be in the attempt.
                                                 (Before Sunrise)

Well, perfect communication is impossible, as seen from the quote above. There must be conflicts arising between to people, if they are perfectly honest with each other. Just because everyone has different perspectives in things and shares different personal values, life is worthwhile. That is why love is magical and can be the most beautiful thing, because it can bring two completely separate, and distinct people together, through attempting to reach agreements in many things. Well, love is certainly difficult to obtain though, and can often stab people right at the heart, because people tend to put high hope on their imagined romantic life, while the reality is usually not what they expect. Expectation and reality don’t go along well, just like mentos and coca cola.

A romantic would believe distance won’t matter;
A realist would deny the possibility of long-distance relationships.
Anyway, thou art always that tender and sweet girl,
Saved within the gentle closure of my chest.

Drink up baby, stay up all night
With the things you could do, you won’t but you might.  (Elliott Smith)

Having beautiful memories doesn’t always bring salvation. The more beautiful memory it is, the more painful it can become. It can even become terrifying. It’s very hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember. The feelings are still fresh, as if it just happened yesterday. Well, perhaps, it takes some sort of sadness for a person to grow, or even to know what happiness is… and it doesn’t matter who hurt you or broke you down, what matters is who makes you smile again….

Well, positive thinking: disappointment should be finite; and hope should be infinite. Maybe, just maybe the light can reach even the bottom of the dark ocean. Maybe there’s just one dark road ahead. But, I still need to believe and keep going. I have to believe that the stars will light up the path, even just a little bit.

Winter, the season I met you, is coming.
A winter without you, is coming…

10 Downing Street in Hayesland

‘Alcohol makes me sober,
for it makes me super-super!’
says King Hayes with his Budweiser treat,
at the biggest pub of Hayesland, 10 Downing Street.

‘Down it! Down it! Down it!’
says the drunk who never quits.
He thus named the pub, with the liquor wheat,
Down it, Down it, 10 Downing Street!

’24 hours in a day,
24 beers in a case’
Roses are red, violets are blue,
Keep me well-fed, stock up the brew!

Hayesland is the ‘La La Land’,
with the most premier liquor in hand.
A glass of nice wine a day,
Keeps your discomfort away!

Food and Girls

I am quite a good chef, and everytime I cook I try to think about how to improve my dish next time. And now I discover the connection between food an girls.

A good dish often looks good, smells good, and tastes good. It is the kind of food that you would like to keep in your mouth for as long as possible because once it went down to your digestive system, it is gone. This kind of food, is just like the beauty and cuteness of Emma Watson, and Kate Beckinsale.

There are many ways to cook: bake, fry, steam, boil….. Among those, deep-frying is the most special one, as it completely changes how the ingredients taste. The first few bites of a deep-fried product are probably quite enjoyable, as it has a crispy crust surrounding the hot stuff inside. However, it wouldn’t take long until you get sick of it because of the oil. Deep-frying, is basically just giving a crust to cover the food, just like the girls having enormous amount of make-up, or plastic surgeries, just to make themselves like the ‘deep-fried’ food. With everyone covering themselves with the ‘deep-fried’ crust, it is hard to spot the difference between Emma Watson and the others, until they uncover themselves. But what’s the point of it then? Everyone is just a clone?

Well, sometimes, all you need is just a normal bowl of rice. It does not have the beauty of Kate Beckinsale or the cuteness of Emma Watson, but at least, it is real.

So, whether alcohol is good for health, has been a controversial topic since years ago.

Someone has done an experiment, with a glass of water, and a glass of alcohol. Then, he put worms into the two glasses. He found that, the worms in the water glass kept swimming; while the worms in the alcohol glass struggled for a bit, then died.

Therefore, alcohol is good. Because if you drink more, you will not have worms in your belly.

Haven’t reported about my self-trip in Copenhagen on this blog, so here I go.

Generally, it has been a wonderful trip, probably one of the best I’ve had, in terms of everything, like the environment, the sight, the food, and the people. But there’s a little tips, when Danish people tell you that it is a 10-minute walk, it never is!)

Of all, my favourite place in Copenhagen, is Nyhavn. If you receive a postcard from Copenhagen, 90% of the chance is that you’ll receive a postcard with the picture of Nyhavn. Yes, it’s such an icon of the whole city, because of its gorgeous view. With the aid of being able to drink on the street legally, you can easily get a pint, and walk along Nyhavn, and you take life to another level. Alternatively, get a beer, and go for a boat trip, and enjoy the sunshine. (But be careful, the boat trip lasts about an hour and a half, so, remember to go to pee before getting on the boat or else you’ll have to hold it for the whole trip!)

The second most favourite place of mine is probably the Dupong bar, the Ping Pong bar. It’s probably due to the reason that I play table-tennis back in Aberdeen too. So I found the bar so cool, with people playing Round-The-Table. Of course, with some basic skills I’ve got, I won quite a lot of rounds! 😀 Proud of myself, woohoo! What you do there, is to pay a deposit of 25 DKK, and get a bat, and when you return the bat, you get a drink. Good deal, right? 😀

Yea, I told people that I didn’t play table-tennis much, and I didn’t know the basics, they thought I just came from nowhere. But then I won more and more, and at the end of the night, I mentioned to a girl that I would have to go back to training when I’m back to Aberdeen. She was surprised ‘Oh, so you ARE the table-tennis champion!’ haha It was such a scene!

The Little Mermaid is a famous tourist spot in Copenhagen. Well, yea, it’s quite a nice statue and it’s always crowded with tourists. But, well, near the statue, I found 2 real Danish Little Mermaids! They were way better than the statue, methink!

So, it has been really a good time for me, and I’d like to go there again soon! I love Denmark, and probably man SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES! 😀

Today I went to SPAR to buy some beer, and...

‘In beer, there is freedom; in wine, there is wisdom; in water, there is bacteria’ has always been my attitude. So, today, I went to SPAR (a little shop near my place) to get some ‘Freedom’.

There are many different kinds of beer in SPAR, like Carlsberg, Stella Artois, Guiness, and Carling. Among those, I still chose Tennents. Why Tennents? I always believe that a brand of beer always reflects the cultures and what the local people like. I like Scottish people, they are simple, honest, and true, never pretend or anything. Tennents is a Scottish beer, and it does reflect the characteristics of Scottish people:
1) pale gold colour, just like the hair colour
2) clear, just like Scottish people, simple, honest, and not complicated.
3) the malt flavour is not covered by the other flavour, always be true, and honest

Those are the reasons why I chose Tennents, and it was on sales too.

Just when I picked up the pack, an old Scottish man (another customer) saw me, and nodded at me. Then, he said ‘Woo, little Asian kid liking Scottish beer?’
‘Yes, I do, ‘ I replied, then I told him the reasons why I like Tennents.
‘Oh wow, I appreciate your ideas about beer, I have never thought about it that way! Every day is a learning day!’ He seemed to be happy with my wee speech.
He then put the Carlsberg pack in his basket back, and put a few packs of Tennents into the basket. ‘New kid, you changed my mind about Tennents, we Scots should support our own beer!’

What an interesting day buying beer. Guys, do try Tennents, it is actually a high-quality beer!
